Sadiq Abdullah gets back candidature

Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah, an independent candidate for the Barishal-5 constituency, got back his candidacy on Monday (December 18).

The high court this noon declared the EC decision illegal regarding the candidature cancellation of Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah.

An HC bench of justice Md Iqbal Kabir and Justice SM Moniruzzaman passed the order.

Earlier on December 6, the Election Commission cancelled the candidacy of Sadiq Abdullah, also former Barishal mayor, over dual citizenship.
