Candidates’ cooperation needed to make polls free and fair: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has said that cooperation of all candidates is needed to make the 12th parliamentary election free and fair.

The CEC came up with the remark while exchanging views with 36 candidates of Rangpur six constituencies at Rangpur Circuit House auditorium on Tuesday (December 19).

“A clear message has been given to the candidates to make the 12th national election free, fair and acceptable. The administration will make the election free, fair and impartial. If candidates of the political parties or independent candidates become sincere and do not have mutual trust in each other, then it will be difficult to hold an impartial election”, he said.
