Ten yrs on: No progress in Gopibagh 6-murder case

Ten years have gone by since the murder of six people in the capital’s Gopibagh, but the motives behind the sensational murder case are still shrouded in mystery.
The family members of the victims are expressing frustration as the investigation in the case is still pending.
Pir Lutfar, his son Sarowar Islam Faruk alias Monir and four of the Pir’s disciples were found slaughtered at their 64/6 Gopibagh house on December 21, 2013. The four are - Manzur Alam, Md Shahin, Rasel and Mozibar Sarker.
Counter-terrorism unit of police is currently investigating the case after the probe of police station and detectives. So far, various investigation agencies have taken about 125 times to submit the investigation report.
Dhaka's Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Tofazzal Hossain fixed January 23 for submitted the probe report.
Inspector Mohammad Shafiqul Alam, the investigating officer, of the Counter Terrorism Investigation Department said it is a big case. We can’t submit chargesheet without full detection. We hope that we will be able to submit the chargesheet soon after investigation.
