Carrying firearms banned till January 9

Licence holders have been directed not to carry and display firearms till January 9, ahead of the 12th parliamentary election to be held on January 7.

A gazette notification signed by Israt Jahan, deputy secretary of the home ministry, was issued in this regard on Thursday.
