147 BGB platoons deployed across the country

As many as 147 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces have been deployed across the country to maintain law and order situation during the blockade programme called by BNP and like-minded opposition parties following the upcoming 12th parliamentary election.

Md Shariful Islam, Public Relations Officer of the BGB, confirmed the matter on Sunday (December 24) morning.

He said a total of 147 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country to maintain the law and order situation. Among them, 16 platoons have been deployed in Dhaka and its adjoining areas.
