20 BNP men jailed for 2 years

A Dhaka court has sentenced 20 leaders and activists of BNP for two years in jail under two separate sections in a sabotage case filed with Ramna Police Station in 2011.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin pronounced the verdict on Tuesday (December 26).

The court also fined the convicts Tk 2,000 each, in default, they will have to serve two months more in jail.

The sabotage case was filed with Ramna Police Station in September 2011. Later, police submitted the chargesheet after investigation.
