Hefazat’s grand rally postponed

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has postponed its grand rally scheduled for December 29 in Dhaka.
A statement signed by Hefazat-e-Islam’s publicity affairs secretary Mufti Kifayatullah Azhari has been issued on Tuesday (December 26).
The rally was postponed considering the current situation of the country, according to the statement.
The next programmes will be announced within a short time, the statement added.
On December 8, the organisation announced to hold the grand rally demanding the release of its jailed leaders and activists including Hefajat-e-Islam leader Maulana Mamunul Haque and cancellation of all contradictory contents with Islam from the national education curriculum.
