If trust is built then violence can be stopped: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal said that the mutual trust among the political parties is very low. Creating space for mutual trust is very important. If trust is built then violence can be stopped.
The CEC said this while addressing a meeting with Human Rights Commission in the capital on Thursday (December 28).
He also said it is very important to cast votes without violence or in a non-violent way.
In the meeting, human rights commission chairman Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed said it is the right of people to cast their votes. Besides, it is also their right not to cast the votes.
A total of eight delegates joined the meeting led by Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed at CEC conference room around 11:00am.
