RAB members deployed

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been deployed across the country.

A RAB press release on Friday (December 29) said, RAB members will perform duties alongside other law enforcement forces as part of the security plan to ensure holding a free, fair and peaceful national election slated for January 7, 2024.

RAB members will perform duties in all parliamentary constituencies as mobile and striking forces from December 29 to January 10 as per the Election Commission's (EC) decision.

They will play roles in maintaining peace and order in polling stations and counting of votes.

In continuation of that, at least two patrol teams will be deployed in each seat for electoral duties while two patrol teams will be kept as reserve striking force in each battalion.

Fifteen patrol teams will be ready as central reserve at RAB headquarters while 25 temporary camps will be set up across the country.
