This election can be questioned in no way: EC Anisur

Election Commissioner Md Anisur Rahman said that the upcoming 12th parliamentary elections can be questioned in no way.

He made the remark while talking to reporters at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on Tuesday (January 2).

Anisur Rahman said, “The state will go in vain if we fail to hold a free, fair and acceptable election this time. The country might even become isolated from the rest of the world. The election can be allowed to be questioned by no means.”

The commission’s one and only instruction is to hold a free, fair and acceptable election, he added.

The 12th parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on January 7.
