BGB alert to thwart violence centering election: DG

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General (DG) Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan has said BGB members are alert to thwart any kind of violence and sabotage centering the 12th national election.

The DG said this while exchanging views after visiting BGB base camps set up on the occasion of electoral deployment in Shariatpur and Madaripur districts on Wednesday (January 3).

The BGB members will work with professionalism to maintain law and order so that voters can come in the polling centers safely, he said.

Senior officials of the BGB headquarters, Dhaka Region Commander and other officials were also present.
