Action to be taken if anyone tries to sabotage polls: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said the result will be good if anyone tries to sabotage the elections. We will take a legal action against them.
The IGP said this while addressing a press briefing at Willes Little Flower School and College in the capital’s Kakrail on Saturday noon (January 5).
He said that preparations have been taken for the upcoming 12th national elections. The police force is ready to work in the election in a festive atmosphere.
Aiming the voters, IGP said in case of emergency, you can call the nearest police station or national emergency service number 999.
Regular meetings are being held with intelligence agencies to ensure fair and peaceful elections, he added.
