7-member probe body formed over Benapole Express fire

The Bangladesh Railway has formed a seven-member investigation committee over the Benapole Express fire that killed at least four people on Friday (January 5) night.

Siraj-ud-Daula Khan, senior information officer at the Ministry of Railways, confirmed the matter early Saturday (January 6).

He said, Dhaka Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer Soumik Shaon Kabir will lead the investigation committee.

The committee has been given three working days to submit its probe report.

The fire service also formed a probe committee over the Benapole Express fire.
