CEC to address the nation this evening

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal will address the nation this evening on the eve of 12th national parliamentary election slated for January 7.

Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar will air the address simultaneously.

The Election Commission came up with the information on Friday (January 5) night.

EC officials said that the voting for the 12th national parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday (January 7). The Election Commission is trying its best to make the general elections free, fair and neutral.

In the speech, the CEC will call upon the countrymen to cast their votes. He will also urge the candidates to hold the elections in a fair manner. 

Earlier, the Chief Election Commissioner addressed the nation on November 15. In that speech, he announced the schedule of the 12th national parliamentary elections.
