People boycott BNP through casting votes: Quader

Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that people have boycotted the BNP through casting votes in the 12th national election.

The Awami League general secretary came up with the remark at a press conference held at the party’s election office at Tejgaon in the city on Sunday.

People cast their votes amid festivity that has proved the defeat of the movement of BNP and its allies. The presence of huge voters has proved BNP’s defeat, he said.

He said the festivity, enthusiasm and peaceful voting atmosphere proved that people have rejected those who resorted to sabotage and violence.
