Boycotting election becomes successful: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that boycotting one-sided election has become successful.

The BNP leader came up with the remark at a virtual press conference on Sunday (January 7).

Only two per cent voters cast their votes. The people of the country have rejected the Awami League government and its planned dummy election through this voter-less election, he said.

Stating that the pictures taken by the media speak, he said thousands of photos have already been there on social media. You can see a picture of monkeys standing in a polling center of Jashore, he said.

"We have appeared today to thank people instead of showing our reactions to the elections. We are victorious today. We called upon people not to go to the polling centres and cast their ballots. We requested them not to go to the polling centres, and they didn't go there. More than two percent voters didn't go to the polling centres. Our vote boycott has been successful. We convey our thanks and gratitude to the countrymen", he said.
