Winners in Dhaka`s 20 constituencies

The Awami League got a landslide victory in the 12th parliamentary election held on Sunday (January 7).

Let’s check the list of winners from Dhaka constituencies.

Dhaka-1: Awami League candidate Salman F Rahman (Boat) bagged 150,005 votes and elected unofficially in Dhaka-1 constituency. His nearest Jatiya Party candidate Salma Islam got 34,930 votes.

Dhaka-2: Kamrul Islam got 154,448 votes with boat symbol in Dhaka-2 seat. His nearest candidate Dr Habibur Rahman bagged 10,635 votes.

Dhaka-3: AL backed candidate Nasrul Hamid secured 132,732 votes and won the seat. His rival Md Monir Sarker got 2868 votes with Plough symbol.

Dhaka-4: Independent candidate Md Awlad Hossain bagged 24,775 votes with ‘Eagle’ symbol from Dhaka-4 constituency. His nearest candidate Sanjida Khanam got 22,577 votes with ‘Boat’ symbol.

Dhaka-5: Independent candidate Mashiur Rahman Mollah won the seat getting 50,631 votes. His rival Harunur Rashid (Munna) got 50,334 votes with ‘Boat’ symbol.

Dhaka-6: Boat candidate Sayeed Khokon won the constituency getting 61,703 votes. His closest rival Md. Rabiul Alam Mazumdar got 11009 votes.

Dhaka-7: AL candidate Solaiman Salim bagged 63,817 votes. His nearest candidate Mohammad Saifuddin Ahmed Milon got 7308 votes with ‘Plough’ symbol.

Dhaka-8: AFM Bahauddin Nasim won the seat getting 46,610 votes with ‘Boat’. His rival Md Juber Alam Khan got 880 votes with ‘Plough’ symbol.

Dhaka-9: AL aspirant Saber Hossain Chowdhury (Boat) bagged 90,396 votes and elected unofficially in Dhaka-9 constituency. His nearest Jatiya Party candidate Kazi Abul Khayer got 2,794 votes.

Dhaka-10: AL backed candidate Ferdous Ahmed (Boat) bagged 65,898 votes and elected unofficially in the constituency. His nearest Jatiya Party candidate Hazi Mohammad Shahjahan got 22,057 votes.

Dhaka-11: Mohammad Wakil Uddin got 83,885 votes from ‘Boat’ symbol and elected in Dhaka-11 seat. His nearest Jatiya Party candidate Shamim Ahmed secured 2,747 votes.

Dhaka-12: AL backed candidate Asaduzzaman Khan (Boat) bagged 94,689 votes and elected unofficially in the constituency. His nearest candidate Khorshed Alam got 2,219 votes.

Dhaka-13: Awami League candidate Jahangir Kabir Nanak won the constituency with Boat symbol.

Dhaka-14: AL aspirant Md Mainul Hossain Khan got 53,540 votes and elected unofficially in the seat. His nearest candidate Md Lutfar Rahman got 17, 914 votes with ‘Kettle’ symbol.

Dhaka-15: Awami League nominated candidate Kamal Ahmed Mazumdar bagged 39,632 votes and won Dhaka-15 constituency. His rival Jatiya Party candidate Shamsul Haque got 2,044 votes.

Dhaka-16: Awami League candidate Elias Ali Mollah won the constituency.

Dhaka-17: AL backed aspirant Arafat got 48,059 votes and elected unofficially in the seat.

Dhaka-18: Md Khasru Chowdhury bagged 79,085 votes with ‘Kettle’ symbol and won the constituency. His rival SM Tofazzal Hossain got 44,909 votes with ‘Truck’ symbol.

Dhaka-19: Saiful Islam got 84,412 votes with ‘Truck’ symbol and elected unofficially in Dhaka-19 seat. His nearest candidates Talukdar Mohammad Towhid Jung Murad (Eagle) got 76,202 votes and Dr Md Enamur Rahman got 56,361 votes with ‘Boat’.

Dhaka-20: AL backed Benazir Ahmed got 83,709 votes and elected unofficially in the constituency. His nearest candidate Mohaddes Hossain got 54,613 votes.
