EC publishes gazette on results of 298 constituencies

The Election Commission (EC) has published a gazette notification on the results of the 12th National Elections with details of 298 newly-elected Members of Parliament (MP).

Earlier on Tuesday, the EC approved the results for gazette notification.

The newly-elected members of the parliament are set to take the oath of office on Wednesday (January 10).
The swearing-in ceremony will take place in the parliament building at 10am.

Barrister Biplab Barua, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Awami League's office secretary confirmed the matter.

The 12th national election took place on Sunday (January 7) where the Awami League led alliance bagged a landslide win with 225 seats.

Awami League bagged 222 seats alone.
