Sheikh Hasina at Bangabhaban

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has visited Bangabhaban to make a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin.

It was learnt that she went to Bangabhaban with a letter to hand it to the President in order to form the government as the House leader.

The Prime Minister visited Bangabhaban after attending an AL grand rally at the historic Suhrawardi Udyan here on Wednesday (January 10) afternoon, marking the historic Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Earlier, all 298 newly-elected lawmakers of the 12th parliamentary election took oath of office at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) here today.

At this time, lawmakers nominated Awami League President Sheikh Hasina as the leader of the 12th parliament.
