Benapole Express train operation resumes today

Rail services between Dhaka and Kolkata will resume operation from today (January 11) after five days of suspension.

Sources said that the ‘Benapole Express’ train will leave Benapole for Dhaka at 12:45 pm and will return from Dhaka at 11:45 pm.

Earlier, the train service was suspended due to the arson attack in Dhaka's Gopibagh area that left four people dead on Friday.

At least five compartments of the train burned down in this arson incident.

Later, SM Nurul Islam, director of the train (guard) filed a case following the incident.
