Ongoing cold wave conditions are likely to intensify in the country with the mercury plummeting further this week, meteorologists have said.

Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt temporarily due to fog, it said.

The met office, however, predicted that day temperature may fall slightly over the country on Monday while cold day condition is likely to prevail at places and weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country during the period of three days.

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degree Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division and Saturday’s minimum temperature was recorded at 8.8 degree Celsius at Dinajpur in Rangpur division.
