The newly appointed Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said Bangladesh feels no pressure.
“There were high, moderate, and minimal pressures over the 12th parliamentary election. Nevertheless, we have surpassed all the pressure. We even did not feel any pressure in the past and are not also feeling any pressure now,” the minister said during a meeting with journalists on his first working day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (January 14).
The minister said, “The 12th parliamentary election was held in a free, fair and festive manner. Massive participation of people was noticed during the election. Observers from different countries came to Bangladesh to monitor the election and expressed satisfaction over the election.”
