Steps to be taken to control prices of essentials: PM

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has said that necessary steps will be taken to control prices of essentials.

The Prime Minister said this while speaking at a joint meeting held at the party’s Bangabandhu Avenue central office on Monday afternoon. Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

“We can at least claim that the Awami League has changed the image of the country. Now nobody can think it as a land of famine and beggars” she said.

“Bangladesh is now a role model for development. There were many plots and conspiracies to thwart the election, but they have failed”, she said.

AL central working committee members, advisory council members and presidents and general secretaries of party’s Dhaka city north, south units and all associate were present at the meeting.
