Preparations taken to ensure security at Ijtema ground: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun has said that preparations have been taken to ensure foolproof security for devotees arriving at the Biswa Ijtema ground.

Abdullah Al-Mamun said this while presiding over a meeting ahead of Biswa Ijtema at police headquarters in the city on Wednesday.

The first phase of Biswa Ijtema will be held on February 2 to February 4 and the second phase from February 9 to February 11.

The law enforcement forces will also ensure security through helicopter, watch tower, dog squad and CCTV cameras, he added.

The government has taken all-out preparation to ensure smooth holding of Biswa Ijtema in two phases.
