2 killed in separate road crashes in Dhaka

Two people including a motorcyclist died in two separate road accidents in Dhaka's Kakrail and Hatirjheel areas early today.

The deceased were known as Jamsedul Mia, 24, and Mokhlesur Rahman, 75.

Local sources said that a passenger bus of victor paribahan rammed Mokhlesur Rahman in Kakrail intersection, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Besides, Motorcycle rider Jamshedul was critically injured when a speeding car rammed his two-wheeler in Hatirjheel's Kunipara area on Wednesday night. He and his friend Sourabh, 25, were subsequently taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where a doctor declared him dead.

Inspector Bachchu Mia of Dhaka Medical College Hospital's police outpost confirmed the matter.
