DITF begins today

The 28th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will kick off today (January 21) in Purbachal New Town, on the outskirts of the capital city.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair at 10:00 am at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal.
This time there will be 16 to 18 foreign pavilions in the fair, including participation from Turkey, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Iran, India and Pakistan.
There will be a shuttle bus service to facilitate transportation to the fair like the last year. BRTC buses will ply from Kuril Biswa Road to Exhibition Centre.
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam said that buses will be arranged from Farmgate to connect with Metrorail and Elevated Expressway to facilitate transportation to the fair.
The entry fee for the fair has been Tk50 for general visitors and Tk25 for children below 12 years.
The fair will open at 10am and close at 9pm on weekdays. On weekends, the visitors can stay until 10pm.
