Dhaka records season`s lowest 11.1°C this morning

As a mild cold wave sweeps over parts of the country, Dhaka has reported the season's lowest temperature at 11.1 degrees Celsius this morning.
Besides, the lowest temperature of the country was recorded at 7.1°C at Tetulia in Panchagarh today (January 23), according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Officer-in-charge of Tentulia weather monitoring center Md Russell Shah, said mild cold wave is sweeping over the district. Such weather may continue for few more days.
Asaduzzaman, an official of meteorological office in Dinajpur, said temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur at 9:00am this morning. Humidity was 94 percent at that time.
Temperature between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius is considered a mild cold wave, 6 and 8 degrees Celsius a moderate cold wave and less than 6 degrees Celsius a severe cold wave.
