Upazila Parishad polls to begin in last of April

The Election Commission (EC) has planned to hold the Upazila Parishad polls from the last week of April to the last week of May.

Election Commissioner Md Alamgir said this to journalists at Nirbachan Bhaban at Agargaon in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday.

“We are taking preparations to start the upazila election from the last week of April and complete it in the last week of May”, he said.

The EC said polls can be held through ballot or Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) or both means.
