EC announces schedule of 233 elections

The Election Commission (EC) has announced the schedule of 233 elections including Mymensingh City Corporation election, by-election to Cumilla City Corporation and election to five municipalities.

Election Commission secretary Jahangir Alam announced the schedule at a press briefing held at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on Wednesday (January 24).

As per the schedule, the last date of nomination submission is February 13 and scrutinising on February 15. The last date for the withdrawal of nominations is February 22. Symbols will be allotted on February 23. The elections will be held on March 9.
