Two crushed under truck in capital’s Khilkhet

Two people were killed as a truck coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle in Mastul area of the capital’s Khilkhet early Friday.

The deceased were identified as Sajib Hossain, 35, and Roman, 33.

Another man named Din Mohammad, 35, was injured in the accident.

Md Shahidul Islam, sub-inspector of Khilkhet Police Station, confirmed the news.

A truck hit their motorcycle when the trio was returning to Dhaka from Purbachal in the early hours. Roman died on the spot while Sajib and Din Mohammad were first taken to a nearby hospital from where they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition. Sajib died there while undergoing treatment, he said.

Police are trying to identify the truck, he added.
