Existing cold wave may spread

The existing mild cold wave that is sweeping over different districts of the country may spread, according to a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin.

Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Barishal and Chattogram divisions, said a BMD bulletin issued for 24 hours commencing 9 am on Friday.

“Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to Saturday morning and it may continue till noon at some places,” it added.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 25.7 degrees Celsius at Teknaf while today's minimum temperature 8.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Dinajpur.
