Yunus to seek apology to appellate tribunal

Nobel Laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus and three other top officials of Grameen Telecom will file an appeal with the Labour Appellate Tribunal against the verdict of labour law violations case by a Labour Court today.
Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun, lawyer of Dr Yunus confirmed the matter.
He said we will point out 25 legal arguments on the appeal. Dr Yunus will appear before the tribunal at 10:00am on Sunday. Besides, Petition will be filed seeking bail.
Earlier on January 1, Sheikh Merina Sultana, chairman of the Third Labour Court of Dhaka, sentenced Dr Yunus, chairman of Grameen Telecom, and its directors Ashraful Hassan, Nurjahan Begum and M Shahjahan to six months in jail in a case.
