Govt not doing anything to harass Dr Yunus: Law Minister

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq has said that the government is not doing anything to harass Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus.

The minister made the remark while addressing a press briefing at his ministry on Thursday noon.

“The government has not filed any false case against him (Dr Yunus). The government is not harassing him. That case was filed by the labourers. The department which is there to protect the rights of the labourers has filed the case,” he said.

“In spite of having all the evidences against Dr Yunus, it is being propagated abroad that all the allegations against him are false and we are doing these to harass him. No one is above the law. Whoever commits crime has to face the justice,” he added.
