First phase of Ijtema ends with Akheri Munajat

The first phase of the Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of the Muslims, concluded today (February 4) as thousands of devotees prayed for peace, progress and welfare of the country as well as the Muslim Ummah.

Earlier, the Akheri Munajat began at 9.00am and ended at 9:23am.

Indian Maulana Zobayerul Hasan led the Munajat.

Lakhs of Muslims from home and abroad participated in the second largest congregation of the Muslims after Hajj.

Centering Ijtema ground, three to four kilometers road of the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway and Abdullahpur-Ashulia road became a ‘sea of people’. People took position everywhere in the region to attend the Munajat.

The followers of Maulana Zubairul Hasan Kandhlawi will join the first phase of Bishwa Ijtema to be held from 2 to 4 February.

The Biswa Ijtema is being organised by Tablig Jamaat since 1946, and it is being held in two phases from 2012 to ease accommodation problem.
