Some other students of the university were involved in the incident, according to a CCTV footage.
Mostafizur was detained from Savar Bus Stand area at 7am on Sunday. Other three were detained around 2:30am as they helped the accused to flee.
Meanwhile, Mostafizur was expelled from the party for breaking the party discipline.

Later, Mamun called her through her husband’s mobile phone and said to go to the university with some of his (Mamun) clothes and valuables which he left at his room. Mamun said he would not stay in their house.
“When I went there with the clothes, Mamun took me to a nearby forest saying me that my husband was there. Mostafizur was with him (Mamun). Then the duo raped me,” the victim said.
“They kept my husband confined at Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall,” she said.
