113 Myanmar BGP members take refuge in Bangladesh: BGB

So far, 113 BGP members have taken refuge entering Bangladesh through the Tumbru border in several batches since Sunday (February 4).
BGB’s public relations officer Shariful Islam on Tuesday morning (February 6) said due to the ongoing conflict inside Myanmar, 113 BGP members have entered Bangladesh through the Tumbru border in Naikhongchari upazila of Bandarban district with weapons and sought refuge.
He also said that BGB disarmed them (BGP) and gave them safe shelter.
Earlier, two people, including a Bangladeshi woman, were killed by a mortar shell that came from Myanmar along the Tumbru border in Naikhongchhari Upazila of Bandarban district.
