Bail pleas have been filed by BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas in three separate cases lodged against him with the capital’s Shahjahanpur, Paltan and Ramna police stations.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury, a lawyer of Mirza Abbas, filed the bail pleas in the court of Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sultan Sohag Uddin on Tuesday (February 6).
Hearing on the bail pleas will be held around 11:30 am on Wednesday (February 7), the lawyer said.
Earlier, the court yesterday granted bail to BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas in six separate cases filed against him with the capital’s Paltan and Ramna Police Stations.
Of the six, four cases were filed with Paltan Police Station, while two cases were filed with Ramna Police Station.
A total of 11 cases were filed against Abbas following the chaotic situation that unfolded on October 28, 2023. He was detained on October 31 from his Shahjahanpur home and shown arrested in a case filed under sabotage and explosives substances act with the capital’s Shahjahanpur police station.
