JS forms ten parliamentary standing committees

The Jatiya Sangsad has formed ten parliamentary standing committees on different ministries.
Chief Whip of the JS Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury on behalf of the Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina proposed the construction.
Later, the proposals were adopted by voice votes with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair on Tuesday.
The standing committees are- parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of Social Welfare ministry headed by AFM Ruhal Haque, JS body on Road Transport and Bridges ministry headed by Rezwan Ahmed Towfique, JS body on Railway ministry headed by ABM Fazley Karim Chowdhury, JS body on Science and Technology ministry headed by Zahid Maleque, JS body on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources ministry headed by Ziaur Rahman, JS body on Water Resources ministry headed by Ramesh Chandra Sen, JS body on Shipping ministry headed by Mahfuzur Rahman, JS body on Defense headed by illius Uddin Mollah, JS body on Planning ministry headed by MA Mannan and JS body on Finance headed by AHM Mustafa Kamal.
In addition to this, the parliament also formed its Petition Committee with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury as its chair.
