EC to announce Upazila polls schedule next week

The Election Commission (EC) is taking all out preparations to conduct voting in country’s eligible upazilas. The EC will announce the final polls schedule next week.

EC Secretary Jahangir Alam said this while visiting Bogura Election Office on Thursday (February 8). 

The EC has decided to conduct the upazila parishad elections in four phases. The dates and phases of the upazila parishad elections will be finalized in next week.  The schedule will be published on the EC website on Sunday or Monday, he said.
