Crimes against humanity: 3 Sherpur men get life term

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 has sentenced three people of Sherpur’s Nokla upazila to life term imprisonment in a case filed for committing crimes against humanity.

Justice Md Shahinur Islam, Chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1, handed down the verdict on Monday (February 12).

The convicts are Aminuzzaman Faruk, Mokhlesur Rahman and AKM Akram Hossain.

The tribunal found alleged charges including killing of six people, abduction, detention, torture, arson and other crimes against humanity against the convicts.
