Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali has said the country has achieved 87.70 percent of the targeted revenue till December in the current fiscal year.
The minister told the Jatiya Sangsad while responding to a star-marked question raised by treasury bench lawmaker Dr Samil Uddin Ahmed Simul of Chapainawabganj-1 during question-answer session on Monday.
In the current fiscal, the revenue income target has been fixed Taka 4,43,617.57 crore, said the minister.
At the same time, the country has achieved tax revenue of Taka 1,65,629.75 crore while Taka 1,626 crore also has been achieved from stamp duty during this time.
The minister, however, mentioned that tax revenue deficiency during this time was Taka 23,227.19 crore, the minister added.
