Bangladesh exported medicines worth Tk 5,900cr in 6 months

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen has said till December of the current fiscal year (2024-2025), around Taka 5,900 crore of medicines were exported.

The minister said this while responding to a star-marked question raised by treasury bench lawmaker Anwar Hossen Khan of Lakshmipur-1 during the question-answer session at the Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday.

Almost all types of medicines produced in Bangladesh are exported to 157 countries of the world including Europe and America, he said.
