Bangabandhu paved way for liberation of women: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has paved the way for the liberation of women.

She said this during a courtesy meeting with the nomination seekers for the women’s reserved seats in the 12th national parliament at the Ganabhaban on Wednesday (February 14) morning.

Sheikh Hasina said, “The power of women has been ensured in every sector of the society. They are working everywhere. Economic independence is very important for women.”

Calling on all men and women to work together with an aim to build a developed country, the Prime Minister said: “Today’s Bangladesh is a changed Bangladesh. Today, Bangladesh has been seated on a glorious position worldwide.”
