New education system will create meritorious nation: Minister

Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury has said that the new education system will create meritorious nation.

The minister said this while replying to a question of AKM Rezaul Karim Tansen, an MP of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, during the parliamentary session on Wednesday.

“The government wants to focus more on the proper implementation of the new education system rather than changing it”, he said.

While responding to a query raised by treasury bench lawmaker M Abdul Latif of Chattogram-11, he said the government has nationalized a total of 828 educational institutes in the last fifteen years across the country.

Of these institutes, 54 were school and colleges, 374 were colleges, 374 were schools and 49 technical institutes.

Replying to another question raised by Nizam Uddin Hazari of Feni-2, the education minister said the government has taken various steps for preventing question paper leakage.
