Railway incurs loss over Tk 9cr due to polls violence

Railway Minister Md Zillul Hakim has said the Bangladesh Railway has incurred a financial loss of over Tk 9 crore due to polls violence.

The minister said this while responding to a written question raised by Nur Uddin Chowdhury Nayan at the Jatiya Sangsad with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair on Thursday.

“Bangladesh Railway has incurred a financial loss of Taka 9,28,56,304 due to BNP-Jammat sabotage in railway aiming to foil the 12th Jatiya Sangsad elections”, he said.
