Bangladesh to import onions, sugar from India before Ramadan

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu said that 100,000 tons of sugar and 50,000 tons of onions will be imported from India before the holy month of Ramadan begins.

The state minister disclosed the information while briefing reporters at his secretariat office on Sunday (February 18) noon.

“The process to import 100,000 tons of sugar and 50,000 tons of onions will be finalised by this week,” Ahsanul said.
