Sexual Harassment: Viqarunnisa teacher Murad arrested

Police arrested Murad Hossain Sarker, a senior mathematics teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College of Azimpur branch, on charges of sexual harassment.

The law enforcers arrested him from his Kalabagan residence in the capital around 12:00am on Tuesday.

Lalbagh police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khandaker Md Helal Uddin told risingbd that a student of the educational institution filed a written complaint against the teacher. Later, police arrested him after initial investigation.

Earlier, the teacher was suspended following the allegation. A high-level committee would be formed by the Divisional Commissioner’s Office to fully investigate the allegations.
