PM’s directive not to arrange any big iftar party officially

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered not to arrange large Iftar parties officially in the upcoming Ramadan. 

At the same time, she also discouraged such iftar parties in the private sector. 

The Prime Minister gave this instruction in the Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's office on Wednesday (February 28).

Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said this at  a press briefing at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

Speaking at the briefing, Mahbub Hossain said there is an instruction from the Prime Minister that no big iftar party can be arranged at government level during the Ramadan.
