Bailey Road Fire claims lives of Italian expat family

Syed Mubarak Hossain, an expatriate Bangladeshi living in Italy, had come to dine at a biriyani restaurant on Bailey Road in the capital along with other members of his family, just like many others.
The five members of his family were burnt alive as the fire ravaged the restaurant in Baily yesterday (February 29).
The dead are - Mubarak Hossain, 42, his wife Shapna, their two daughters Kashfia and Syeda Nur, and son Syed Abdullah.
Mubarak's cousin Faisal said Mubarak got a permanent residency (green card) recently. He was taking preparation to take his family members to Italy. All the members of family also received visa too. Mubarak was scheduled to return to Italy within a month. But the fire took away everything.
Syed Mubarak's brother-in-law Syed Gausul Azam said it’s a tragic incident. The whole family became vanished due to the fire.
It is mentionable that at least 44 people died in a fire that broke out in a commercial building in the capital’s Baily Road area on Thursday night.
