Bailey Road fire: 33 bodies handed over to families

At least 33 bodies of the victims who were killed in the devastating fire at a commercial building in the capital’s Baily Road area have been handed over to families.

Prashanta Roy, registrar at Dhaka Medical College Hospital confirmed the matter around 10:30am on Friday (March 1).

The death toll in the fire at the multistorey commercial building that housed several restaurants rose to 46.

Earlier, the fire that broke out at the seven-storey Green Cozy Cottage Shopping Mall on Bailey Road in Dhaka last night. Being informed, 13 units of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
